About Cartersville Medical Center
Cartersville Medical Center is located just off I-75 (40 miles north of Atlanta and 60 miles south of Chattanooga) in beautiful Cartersville, Georgia. The facility is a fully-accredited, 112-bed general acute-care hospital providing medical, surgical, obstetrical, pediatric, emergency, orthopaedic and outpatient services and a regional cancer center providing radiation oncology. Cartersville Medical Center offers comprehensive healthcare in Northwest Georgia and has the advantages of the financial, technical, and professional resources of HCA, the largest non-government hospital organization in the nation. At the same time, we have the best features of smaller hospitals where patients receive personalized treatment and high quality, compassionate care.
In 2010, Cartersville Medical Center marked 25 years of service to Cartersville and surrounding communities, received “Chest Pain Center” accreditation, opened a new state-of-the-art cardiac cath lab, reduced Emergency Room wait times significantly, recruited more than a dozen hospitalists, a gastroenterologist and a neurosurgeon, and excelled in quality of care measurements and benchmarks. And now, we offer life-saving Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI), restoring blood flow to the heart.
Cartersville Medical Center, a facility of a three-hospital health system in Northwest Georgia including Redmond Regional Medical Center in Rome and Polk Medical Center in Cedartown, is accredited by The Joint Commission and is an Accredited Chest Pain Center. Acworth Medical Plaza – including Acworth Immediate Care and Acworth Imaging Center – and The Hope Center are facilities of Cartersville Medical Center.
