You will meet people who are walking the same walk you are and will receive the latest updates about the treatment of the disease and gain information about your local helping agencies. Project Hope

This is a project for Cancer patients. This provides not only art instruction, but an opportunity for patients to express their feelings, hopes and fears by creating art. Under the direction of celebrated local artist, Carole Jackson, participants will use acrylic paint to paint on canvas. It is held the first Tuesday of every month. This is the first annual camp for cancer survivors and is fully funded and created by the Hospital Auxiliary of Cartersville Medical Center. The 3-day camp is for any Cancer Survivor, past or current treatment,
and is a "Journey of Hope, Health, and Happiness." You must call 770-607-1007 before April 16 and the camp is open to the first 100 to register.

Childbirth Preparation Classes

Classes are held every other month on Saturday from 9am-3pm. Childbirth preparation classes are important for all expecting parents who plan to be active participants in the birth of their newborns. Nutrition, exercise, labor and delivery are discussed in our prenatal education classes. We also cover issues including anesthesia, breastfeeding and newborn care. True Colors

Cancer survivors, male and female, are invited to receive a personal Color Analysis. This program is designed to help participants determine which colors of clothing, accessores, and make-up compliment their natural beauty or good looks. Participants receive a swatch wallet of the best colors to take with them and it's all FREE! Sessions are led by Dr. Lorie Hughes and local volunteer Shelvy Murray. Look Good...Feel Better

Look Good..Feel Better is a collaboration between the American Cancer Society, the CTFA and the NCA. The class teaches women how to deal with the appearance-related side effects of cancer treatment on skin and hair. Programs are free and non-medical.
